There is clinical evidence that a huge contribution to shoulder pain comes from prior injuries or surgeries (scars) and musculoskeletal imbalances throughout the entire body. Fascial lines of tension can cause the entire body to compensate. Without doing Total Body Balancing Techniques, and treating scars that have accumulated over a lifetime, the shoulder symptoms usually return!

Therapists will evaluate the stirrup spring system in the ankle responsible for “Ascending Syndromes” that work their way up into the knee, hip, spine, shoulder and neck. Therapists will also correct tibial torsion patterns in the knee, along with iliosacral torsions and ascending roto-scoliosis of the lumbar spine that can lead to ascending kyphosis of the thoracic spine, and resultant atlanto-occipital joint compression. In states, provinces, and countries that allow the use of Microcurrent, therapists will be taught to treat the lifetime accumulation of both visible and hidden scars throughout the body.

Dolphin Neurostim (MPS) demonstrations will be presented for C-Section scars, rotator cuff scars, adhesive capsulitis or “frozen shoulder” conditions, chronic pain, and stress reduction. After treating scars, and doing total body balancing, manual therapists will evaluate and treat shoulder impingent, bursitis, bicipital tendinosis, rotator cuff injuries, and thoracic outlet. The highlight of this class will be new clinical studies and techniques that will revolutionize the treatment of advanced-stage adhesive capsulitis, known as “Frozen Shoulder.”

  • Learning Outcomes: Upon completing this presentation:

    1. The participant will be able to list the major muscle groups and anatomical landmarks involved in complicated orthopedic conditions of the shoulder. They will also understand the biomechanics of the foot & ankle.
    2. Participants will be introduced to Total Body Balancing Techniques to reduce lines of tension throughout the body that can cause major compensations into the shoulder.
    3. In states, provinces, and countries that approve Micro-Current therapy, participants will be educated on using the Dolphin Neurostim (Microcurrent Point Stimulation) for scar tissue release and stress reduction (Demonstration by Instructor: C-section scar, rotator cuff injuries, adhesive capsulitis protocols. Demonstration includes clinical studies and research).
      4. The participant will be able to explain the A&P and treatment for multiple shoulder conditions.
    5. The participant will be able to demonstrate how to evaluate and treat the stirrup spring system of the foot and resultant ascending syndromes. This will include assessment and correction of excessive supination and over-pronation patterns of the foot.
    6. The participant will be able to demonstrate how to assess and treat Varus and Valgus stress of the knee, and correct tibial torsion patterns.
    7. The participant will be able to explain which muscle groups are tight and which muscle groups are weak in the shoulder area.
    8. The participant will be able to explain why a great portion of shoulder pain come from scars and compensations due to other musculoskeletal problems throughout the body.
    9. Participants will be able to thoroughly assess and treat complicated shoulder conditions. Those conditions include: Rotator Cuff Injuries, Shoulder Impingement, Bursitis, Pectoralis Minor Tendinosis, Bicipital Tendinosis, Rhomboid Pain, and Thoracic Outlet. Participants will also take a detailed look at “Multiple Nerve Compression Patterns in the neck and shoulder.” The highlight will be addressing advanced stage capsular patterns of the shoulder, often known as adhesive capsulitis or “frozen shoulder.”
    10. Participants will learn how to choose the appropriate manual therapy modality, or treatment protocol for multiple specific clinical conditions of the shoulder.
    11. Participants will know how to restore normal muscle resting lengths and soft-tissue balance to the muscle groups causing shoulder pain.
    12. Participants will be taught how to eliminate the soft-tissue causes of nerve, joint and ligament pain.
    13. Participants will understand how to restore pain-free range of movement of the shoulder.
    14. In states, provinces and countries that allow corrective exercises, participants will be taught self-care stretches and strengthening exercises (if needed), to perform at home in order to maintain musculoskeletal balance and pain-free movement following therapy.
